| Imagine a vast, dark green sea before you, as you stand on the deck of a
large, stately boat, cutting smartly through the water. The sky is pale blue, with wisps
of clean white clouds scuttling across the sky. The whitecaps roll endlessly toward you as
the ship cuts quickly through the turbulent water, and the deck rolls easily with the
waves. You are excited and proud and perhaps a little scared. You have just begun your
journey into unknown waters, seas of superstition.
This is your ship. Although the sea and winds may toss her relentlessly, she is yours
to govern. Although you may have to navigate far from your original destination, this is
your journey; it belongs to no other. Your ship may run aground on a coral reef, or sail
majestically into turquoise waters; the important thing is to find peace with either
circumstance, to find peace in gale or calm and thus weather it and rejoice in it. |
