A. We are serious designers and crafts persons with an interest in Metaphysical subjects, who create our own original, customizable, and one-of-a-kind jewelry and gifts in our studios in Torrance, California.  We create jewelry, sculptures, wands, altars & ceremoniums, candles, incense, fragrances, aromatherapy products and more.   We cut, polish and mount rough rock, crystals, gemstones and slabs.  Many of our items are custom-designed, set or blended per your order.   We show our products on our website, at fairs and metaphysical shows.  Our items are also offered by hundreds of general gift and metaphysical stores and websites worldwide.  

Q. Is Mandarava really trademarked?
A. Yes. The company name Mandarava® is a Registered US Trademark.

Q. What types of items do you offer?
A. On our retail web pages, you will find a sampling of our exotic and interesting items including  Egyptian, Wiccan, Goddess, Dragons, Fairies, Celtic, Hindu, Buddhist, Tibetan, New Age and Metaphysical-themed products.   Our gifts feature Egyptian Goddess of Love Isis, Chinese Goddess of Healing and Compassion Quan Yin (Kuan Yin, Kwan Yin, Kwonnen, Kwonnon), Tibetan Buddhist Protectress   Goddess Tara, Fertility Goddess Venus of Willendorf (Great Goddess of Willendorf), Dianic Wiccan Spiral Goddess, Celtic Bringing Down the Moon Goddess, Hindu Goddess of the Arts Sarasvati (Saraswoti, Saraswati), Hindu Lord of Good Fortune Ganesh, Dharma Buddha, Nataraja (Dancing Shiva) and many, many more.  We have hundreds of items that cannot be shown due to size and time, so visit us often, since we are constantly updating and changing our offerings.

Q. Do you sell any products wholesale?
A. Our original jewelry, wands, kits and altars are sold both to individuals on a retail basis, and to stores and web sites on a wholesale basis.  In addition, we offer many other items on a retail basis only.  Our retail-only items include books, tarot cards, CDs, incense, fragrances, Kama Sutra oils, sculptures, and Angel Candles, as well as all of our original designs. 

On a wholesale basis, we feature our very own Stone Deity Jewelry, Dragon Pendants, Celtic Pendants, Silver Deity Jewelry, Crystal Deity Jewelry, Chakra Energy Jewelry, Egyptian Pendants, Goddess Wands, Goddess Kits and magnificent crystal and dragon wands, as well as many other items. You will find these items in our special Wholesale area.  (Please note that we cannot offer the books, t-shirts or some other items on a wholesale level.)

Q. How do I know if something is for sale retail or wholesale?
A. At the top of every wholesale page you will see the words "Mandarava Wholesale".  The retail pages simply say "Mandarava".

Q. How do I qualify to purchase something wholesale? 
A. In order to purchase items on a wholesale basis, you must have a valid resale license from your state.

Q. Is there a wholesale minimum?
A. Yes, our opening wholesale order minimum is $100.  You can obtain more wholesale information in our Wholesale section.

Q. Do you do Drop-Shipping?
A. Mandarava regrets to announce that we are suspending our drop-ship program until further notice, and will be reviewing our program with an eye to simplification.  Please stay tuned.

Q. Do you have an associates' program?
A. We are currently investigating the feasibility of adding that functionality to our website. Again, please stay tuned.

Q. Can you help me in my gift business?
A. Yes! At Mandarava we have over 30 years' experience both in Retailing to the public and in Metaphysical and New Age subjects.  Many of our products come with explanation cards that add value to the item itself, as well as make your selling job easier.  We also offer information on our web site regarding goddesses, tarot, crystals, deities, symbology and more.

Q. Can you help me with my website issues and or data problems?
A. Yes, we have a professional software engineer and database programmer on staff.  If you are interested in obtaining assistance with your programming needs or data reformatting, these services are available at reasonable rates.

Q. What does the name "Mandarava" mean?
A. Mandarava was an 8th century North Eastern (Nepali) Indian princess who fell in love with the great Buddhist teacher Padmasambhava and converted to Buddhism.  Mandarava's father, a powerful king, was so enraged at his daughter's defiance, that he threatened to condemn her and her lover to death if she did not recant her beliefs and abandon her lover. Mandarava stood strong in her defiance, refusing to give up her new faith or to betray her teacher. This enraged her father so that he
condemned the lovers to be burned to death.  
However, the spiritual force of Padmasambhava was so great, that a mystical rain fell upon the flames, and the two lovers were transported to safety. 
Padmasambhava is revered among Tibetan Buddhist as the great teacher who brought Buddhism to Tibet.  Mandarava is an example to everyone, particularly women, of   spiritual strength and unconditional love in the face of adversity.
