Scarab Sodalite Necklace

Beautiful genuine blue sodalite and precious turquoise glass accents with gold-plated traditional Egyptian nefer beads stunningly combine with our elaborately-carved King Tutankhamun scarab. The scarab was a symbol of rebirth and renewal to the ancient Egyptians. This 3-dimensional scarab is carved on both sides. The underside bears the hieroglphys for Neb-Chepreru-Ra, King Tut's throne name. Necklace is 18 inches long. The scarab is lead-free gold-plated pewter. Gold-plated nefer beads and clasp. Matching earrings are available.
Scarab Paperweight

Sculpture and Paperweight. Beautiful turquoise-blue recreation of a favorite ancient Egyptian motif--the Scarab Beetle. These insects were considered sacred because they arose out of the ground at daybreak, and spend the day rolling a ball of dung in front of them. The Egyptians considered this to be symbolic of the sun being rolled across the sky, hence the Scarab symbolized the eternal, daily rebirth of the world.
