The scarab is a symbol of resurrection and eternity, and the disk at top represents the Egyptian sun god Re. The entire piece is a replica of the symbol found in King Tutankhamuns cave, and the scarab actually spells out the hieroglyph Tuts throne name, Neb-Keperu-Re, which means "Re is manifested", indicating that King Tut was the living representation of Ra. This large, heavy piece is approximately 2 inches tall. A cord or chain can be drawn through the double jump rings on each wing. |

Museum replica of a famous statue found in the tomb of King Tutankhamun, shows a favorite sport of the Boy King. The Egyptians were NOT accomplished sea farers. Their navigation techniques never developed because the Nile was so easy to traverse. If you open the sail on a barque, the wind from the north will push the boat southward. If you want to travel north, you simply put the sail down and the current will send you downstream.

Tut Coffin Gold-plated Pewter
Tuts three coffins consisted of a marble sarcaphagus, a gilded wooden coffin, and a solid gold coffin, all nested together. The massive 220-pound gold mask was found inside the innermost coffin (the gold coffin), atop his mummified remains. This is a small replica of the innermost coffin.
