King Tutankhamun, The Boy King - Page 1 King Tut, believed to be the son of the heretic king, Akhenaten and step-son of the beautiful Nefertiti, was born approximately 3400 years ago in ancient Egypt. He was a very minor king, and did not live to see his 19th birthday. Mystery surrounds his death. When he died, his young, frightened widow, Ankesenamun, begged the Hitite king to send a prince for her to marry, which he did. The prince was murdered in transit, and Ankhsenamun was forced to marry the elderly Aye, who may have had a hand in Tutankhamun's untimely demise.
Modern archaeologists' extensive knowledge of King Tut stems from the fact that his is the ONLY fully intact Egyptian tomb every discovered. His fabulous funeral mask alone was wrought out of 220 pounds of gold and precious stones. Our statuary collection includes a 3-dimensional replica of King Tutankhamun's mask, as well as a King Tut mask plaque with a flat back for hanging on your wall. | |
King Tut's Throne - Life Size
Breath-taking is too small a word for this magnificent item. The throne, which we've actually had the privilege of sitting in, is truly full-sized. The seat is wide and will easily hold a 6 ft, 200-lb man. (The chair is cold-cast resin, so there are weight restrictions--if your 400lb cousin comes to visit--hide the throne!) The detail is utterly spectacular, taken from the actual Royal Throne found in Tutankhamun's tomb. The scene depicted shows Tut and his young wife Ankhsenaten in a touching, very informal pose. The back of the seat, although not pictured, is also heavily decorated. This is another item on WizardSteve's wish list. And another reason why we need a bigger house! 42 inches tall. Hand-painted Cold-Cast Resin. Obviously, EXTRA SHIPPING will be required--we will work with you to obtain the most reasonable shipping rate possible. | King Tut's Throne - Life Size SUM5907 $1275.00
