Lord of the Underworld. In the form of the desert jackal or hound, he is one of the most ancient of Egyptian deities, Helper of the Dead. Because jackals have a digestive system that prefers carrion that has, shall we say, aged a bit, jackals were commonsly seen to haunt graveyards and sites of bloody battles. Hence, they were associated with death, and performed a valulable hygenic service. Base is solid.
