Interviewing the Client - Pg. 2

As you become more advanced and familiar with the chakras and their functions, you may begin
to discuss with the Client any particular problems that may be occurring in his/her life that could
be causing these blockages or shortages. We will have an advanced discussion regarding the
relation between the chakras and physical symptoms later in this work. For now, a general rule
of thumb is that a blockage means that the Client is unwilling or unable to grow beyond the
problem symbolized by the chakra in question, and a shortage means that the Client has not
attended to his/her needs or faced his/her responsibilities related to the chakra in question. For
example:
1st Chakra -- unresolved issues regarding one's physical health, sex drives or physical security
2nd Chakra --unresolved issues regarding family, fertility, feelings
3rd Chakra --unresolved issues regarding social or class status; not living up to one's potential; ignoring one's education
4th Chakra --heartache, broken heart, inability to be open with others
5th Chakra--uncomforted issues in general; not speaking up for oneself; not following one's true vocation
6th Chakra--unresolved issues regarding one's spirituality; fear of following one's intuition; avoiding change
7th Chakra--unresolved fears regarding one's immortality; inability to see beyond the material world
